Supersprint Lap records at Eastern Creek after Round 8
30 August 2010 | Eric Scheeren
It was a great day at Eastern Creek today and again Andre Tan showed the way around again setting the fastest time of the day with a great time of 1.30387 which not only broke the Class 5E Record but also the Type 5 Record. Congratulations Andre.
There were only 3 other Class Records broken today.
Steve Lacey broke his own Class 3D in his very reliable Torana with a great time of 1.46.148 which was only a couple of hundredths of a second behind Benny Tran's Type Record of 1.46.120.
Leigh Hemmings broke the Class SVA Record in his PRB with a sub 1.45
time of 144.329
And the last but certainly not least record to be broken was the Class SVB record, which was broken by Roger Heard in his PRB with a very fast time of 1.43.904.
Well the Outright Championship is really heating up with a photo finish between Duncan Forrest and Marek Tomaszewski in their incredible GTR R35s. Duncan started off the day 2 points clear of Marek, but Stuart Inwood decided to put slicks on his older GTR and managed to finish between them. This means that Duncan is one just one point ahead in the Outright Championship. So whoever wins the day between them at the final Round will win the Outright Championship, the Type 4 Championship and the Class 4D Championship.
